My Family’s Plan
I made a list of what the school needs
and started to have fundraisers. We have had garage sales, bake sales,
lemonade sales etc. and the money has been adding up. There are four
main things that I am trying to do for their school.
1. A safety fence needs to be built around the school (right now the
kids are not safe!)
2. Deliver school supplies (they need books, paper, glue, pens, pencils,
chalk etc.)
3. Buy school uniforms for the children who can’t afford one (in Africa
it is a law that you have to have a uniform to go to public school)
4. Build a playground (there is no play structures or play equipment for
the children)
What You Can Do To Help!
I promised the children that I would help them and I will be returning to South Africa on March 21st 2008 and want to accomplish my goals. Your donation will help me reach my goals of providing and improving the education of the 1,200 students at Mfuleni Elementary School.
